NPO Space: The Lovers

You know how it takes a village to raise a child? Well, it took a virtual village to write my recent Mashable article.

I just thought it would be incredibly unethical to be sloppy about researching overseas aid organizations given the fact that some very caring people are hopefully going to get involved in some of the overseas work I’ve highlighted. Below is a list of my experts and gurus:

CREDITS: Thanks to all of the folks at SalaamGarage, Susan Tenby and Megan Keane of TechSoup, Journalist for Human Rights Gabby Kalaw, Consultant Jayne Cravens of Coyote Communications who let me know about The Women of Uganda Network and SANGONeT projects, Courtney Engle who suggested I study the legendary NGO guru Beth Kanter, policy advocate Jeff Mowatt, NGO digital strategist Alec East, Tisha, Elisa and Erik from CAN-DO and VirtualVolunteer, Chris Yeh and David Weekly of PBWiki and Brian Forde of NoApagones and Visa Gringa.

For more info on some of their projects, you can check out this post.

IN ALL EARNESTNESS: These people are making the world a more just and responsible society. Thank you.
